For the fixation of tiles or stones on T2Reflecta plates, the T2Reflecta Adhesive is mandatory.  However, some natural stones, like marble, are color sensitive and should not be used to avoid spots of color changes in a finished floor. Advise on color sensitivity of natural stones can be obtained in the tile shop.

No, it is particularly important that T2Reflecta adhesive is used to stick the times!  We only give a warranty with the use of the T2 adhesive, as this has been developed to provide a high level of adhesion between aluminium and the tile.  Pentair Thermal Management cannot guarantee the adhesive qualities of alternative products.

In order to be able to exchange the sensor in case of a failure, the sensor should be installed in a flexible tube.  QuickNet packs include a flexible tubing. A 2.5 meter flexible tube with 10 mm diameter can be ordered also separately at Pentair Thermal Management (reference number:  6012-8949541)  The conduit needs to be installed just under the tile surface and therefore might need to be partially engraved in the sub floor. In case T2Reflecta plates are used, the conduit is installed in a cut away slot between two T2Reflecta plates.   The sensor should be positioned centrally between the two heater runs. The sensor tip needs to be installed minimum 50cm from the wall area in order to prevent unreliable floor temperature measurements (for example measurement under a cupboard).

The system can be controlled throughout a thermostat with a space or floor sensor.  An ambient thermostat if energy saving is a priority, but the floor can remain partially cold.  A floor thermostat - sensible if the comfort of a warm floor is most important. A combination of the two is naturally the ideal solution.

The sensor should be installed in the centre between two cables. The sensor can be installed in a plastic/ Cu tube Ø 10 -12 mm between two T2Reflecta plates. Wall spacing approximately 0.5 m. The laying however can also be carried out in a free slot of the heating cable.

EM2-XR is a self-regulating heating cable designed to clear ice and snow from outdoor ground surfaces (ramps, walkways, stairways, etc). The power output of EM2-XR in a concrete slab is: 105 W/m at -15°C, 100 W/m at -10°C, 95 W/m at -5°C and 90 W/m at 0°C.

Floor sensing gives a much more stable floor temperature. With ambient sensing it might be possible that the floor temperature varies too much which might give the customer the feeling that the floor heating doesn?t work right. With floor sensing the floor temperature will be nice and stable. T2 floor heating systems are ?thin? systems with a heating element installed close to the floor surface. T2 systems react quickly compared to a ?thick construction? floor heating system which typically has a high mass and therefore a high inertia and slowness. Therefore the thermostat with floor sensor gives a more efficient , fast control and stable temperature over the floor heating. The floor heating sensor is ideal for rooms which have several heat sources. For example a bathroom with a combination of floor heating and a towel heater. In order to have an efficient operation of the floor heating with less influence from the towel heater, the floor sensor gives the better control option because it measures only the floor temperature.

If the cable is a constant wattage cable like the QuickNet, the T2Blue or the CeraPro, the cable must not be crossed, 2 cable runs must not be positioned too close to each other and the cable must not be substantially sealed.
